We had a mighty snow fall last winter. It fell in February and stayed for weeks. It was so cold, we could walk on top of the snow and not break through. Standing on the sidewalk it was up to my shins. That's about 10 - 11 inches that stayed and stayed and stayed.
The kids had a great time playing in it. Sadie had trouble getting outside. She slipped and slid all over the place.
But it all melts eventually.
